BOOSTER SEAT
LAW
As of September 1, 2005, booster seats are
required for children who:
-
weigh 18 kg or more but less than 36 kg
(approx. 40-80 lbs), and
-
have a standing height of less than 145
cm (4'9"), and
-
are under eight years of age (once a
child turns eight, a booster seat is not mandatory). Seat belts,
child car seats and booster seats save lives. Buckle up for every
trip. As a driver, It is your
responsibility
to make sure children are properly secured
in your vehicle. Failing to do so may result in a fine and two
demerit points.
